Guest Lecture on Career Opportunities after Engineering

A guest lecture was arranged on “Career Opportunities after Engineering”, by ACE Academy of Engineering for the students of SE, TE and BE, for which the speaker was Mr. Shankar Jarasandh Wadne. The session started with the introductory and welcome speech by Dr. Y. S. Angal, Head of Department.

Outcome	Students have got the knowledge: About the paper pattern and syllabus. Opportunities after clearing GATE in Job. Opportunities after clearing GATE for higher studies. About stipend in India and Abroad.

The session started with different opportunities students have after the completion of their graduation like jobs in core field, IT sector, Telecommunication sector, VLSI etc. or pursuing higher education like MS, GATE, MBA etc. The speaker emphasized on the topic of GATE and career opportunities after it. He explained the students that the GATE examination is held twice in a year and the score is valid for three years. Further he had given the performance analysis of the score for the different branches and explained how to prepare for the same. Further he stated that that 75% of the questions based on concepts are repeated. He also explained that some of the Foreign universities are also excepting GATE score for further education with stipend. He had also given the value of the stipend one can get for his further education or for doing projects after pursuing GATE and lastly he concluded with the job opportunities in different sectors like Private, PSU, IES.
