Turbo Machinery
The machines which transfers energy between a rotor and a fluid; including both turbines and compressors are called as trubo machines. While a turbine transfers energy from a fluid to a rotor, a compressor transfers energy from a rotor to a fluid.
Main objectives are to provide the knowledge of basic principles, governing equations and applications of turbo machine. It is provide the students with opportunities to apply basic thermo-fluid dynamics flow equations to Turbo machines. It is useful to explain the construction and working principle and evaluate the performance characteristics of Turbo Machines.
