" The Department of General Science of BSIOTR is established in the year 2009 and is growing with flourishing computing facilities and dedicated faculty. The goal of the department is to nurture the students by polishing their talents so as to cultivate competency, responsibilities, and highly rewarding careers in IT profession and to portrait them as responsible citizens. To fulfill this goal our department has exceptionally motivated, dedicated, highly qualified faculty. The Department is also blessed good infrastructure in order to cope up with the changing needs of technical environment. To bridge the gap between the academics and Industry requirements, the Department has good synchronization with industry experts, which give timely guidance to the students for meeting the future expectations of the industry by enriching their lives for better career. "
" Empowering students to be professionally competent & socially responsible to be the leaders of tomorrow to help guide our nation towards prosperity & techno-economic development "
To provide world class research facilities & global knowledge in synchronization with the latest as well as future trends for nurturing highly professional women engineers with strong technical skills and imparting an all important winning & leading attitude.
Engineering Chemistry laboratory contains all the Chemicals & instruments to perform experiments which are useful to provides a practical approach towards the various techniques used in engineering application and understand the concepts present in the syllabus.
Engineering Physics laboratory contains all the kits & instruments to perform experiments.Engineering Physics Laboratory imparts the necessary theoretical knowledge and technical skill for all the budding Engineers to handle the precision tools and electronic gadgets there by lying the foundation stone for the future technocrats in the practice of their professions.
The Basic Electronics Engineering laboratory has basic electronic experiments on analog, digital and mixed signal circuits. In this lab students get familiarization with Laboratory Instruments. This lab helps students learns to identify, characterize and test active and passive components used in various circuits. Also observe the signals. Build and test the analog and digital circuits. Students also learn to simulate the behaviour of the circuits. Practical awaresness is created amongst students right from FE level.
The laboratory emphasis practicals, handson components of this course of study. It complements the theoretical material presented in lectures as such integral and indispensable to the mastery of the subject. There are several items of importance here including proper safety procedure, laboratory reports and required tools.
