Digital signal processing laboratory helps the students to learn, analyse and design the techniques that give core knowledge for DSP engineers to develop the laboratory aims at supporting the teaching and research activities in the area of DSP. The laboratory has both software tools and DSP processors- both fixed point and floating point. The laboratory had Licensed MATLAB software with various Tool boxes and Simulink. Students simulate here number of experiments in MATLAB. Students also use TMS 320C5416 fixed-point DSP. Programing of the DSP chip is done in C(and some assembly) language using the Code Composer Studio integrated development environment. Now we are also trying to use open source software SCILAB for DSP. Lab is equipped with PCs with high configuration with multimedia kits , also DSP Procesor kit for PG studenst
Network and Power laboratory(NPL) is used by SE and TE students with the course on “ Electrical Circuits & Machines and Power Electronics”. This lab enhances our E&TC students by providing them the better understanding of the concepts of power semiconductor devices and power electronics circuits.This lab also provides the platform to perform and test their mini project. This lab has oscilloscopes(CRO & DSO), Single phase power supply, Signal generators, Multimeters, Soldering guns, Power electronics Kits and Network theory kits to carry out experiments. Some of the experiments are: Study of gate drive circuits of SCR, 1‐phase half controlled and full controlled converters, 1‐phase ac voltage regulators, DC‐DC Choppers, SMPS, PWM inverter, Speed control of DC motor.Lab is equipped with Power devices experiment kits and Network theory experiment kits
This lab is kept as a museum which is a collection of projects, display board, electronic kits etc is created in the department which acts as a self-learning area for students. This innovative facility encourages students for further investigations leading to new projects with certain improvements in terms of technological innovativeness.
Electronic Devices and Circuits Lab is used by SE students under the course of "Electronic Devices and Circuits","Integrated Circuits"and "Electronic Measuring Instruments and Tools".This lab provides plat form to enhance the knowledge about basic electronic circuits. Digital Electronics laboratory is useful to the students to learn, analyse and design the techniques that give core knowledge for all types of analog and Digital IC. Digital Logic Design used by SE students to develop the laboratory aims at supporting the teaching and research activities in the area of Digital Logic Circuits .
