  Electrical Engineering

The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in the year 2009 with a sanctioned intake of 60 and is growing rapidly. In 2013 it was sanctioned another 60 seats for admissions through Direct Second Year entry for diploma students. The department presently conducts a four year Bachelor of Engineering degree course in Electrical Engineering which is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and will soon be offering Post Graduate and research facilities with various specializations. The department is equipped with well qualified faculty with vast experience in teaching and industries, assisted by skilled supporting staff. We all, as a team are committed to develop quality engineers with the right attitude having a blend of technical and managerial skills and high standards of professionalism and ethics. Also, the Electrical Engineering Students’ Association, a departmental organization provides a platform for students to exhibit their talent in various extracurricular activities. The students graduated from our department have been securing good placements in various reputed industries.

  • Department has well equipped with laboratories.
  • The department has good infrastructural facilities and is equipped with full fledged laboratories
  • The department regularly organizes seminars, guest lectures, Industrial visit and various co-curricular activities.
  • The Electrical department has established student’s Association EESA (Electrical Engineering Students Association) which organizes the Technical events and Social Activities.
  • Students are placed in reputed companies like-General Electricals, Flex, Huddle, Renata,Aviro Energy India Pvt Ltd.

  • Analyze, design and test modern electronics systems, control systems, electrical machines and drives for the applications in multidisciplinary domain.
  • Specify, architect, design and analyze power system, renewable energy systems that efficiently generate, transmit and distribute electrical power in context of present technological development.

  • 1. Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to     the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • 2. Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated     conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • 3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes   that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and     environmental considerations.
  • 4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments,     analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • 5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including     prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • 6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural     issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  • 7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental     contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  • 8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
  • 9. Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary     settings.
  • 10. Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large,     such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and      receive clear instructions.
  • 11. Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and      apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
  • 12. Life-long learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the      broadest context of technological change.

Analog & Digital Electronics Lab

This laboratory is having all the necessary training kits, electronic equipment’s like C.R.O. , Storage Oscilloscopes, Latest Software’s to give full understanding of Linear Electronics, Integrated Electronics etc. subjects. In This laboratory students are taught to analyse parameter of Op-amp and its applications and the electronics circuit designing concept.

Computer Lab provides general computing facilities as well as subject oriented assistance to students of Electrical Engineering It is also accommodated by latest computerized simulation software for performing, designing, performance, measurement, Optimization and Analysis.

Control System Lab

The automatic control systems are an important feature of many industrial processes, scientific instruments and commercial, social situations. A detailed understanding of the elementary principles of this all-embracing technology is of great relevance for all students. This laboratory gives hands-on experience to the feedback automatic control concepts covered in the theory course.
